Shortcutting for results
Be aware that ethical problems at the workplace are hidden, appearing as technical, legal, or business considerations. Everyone has their own agenda, especially at the executive level. Do not let values be a private matter and allow them to do things their way. Have in mind cognitive dissonance: resistance to accepting evidence contrary to what we think. We rationalize our behavior: what is questionable (or outright immoral) is presented as something acceptable. “Everyone does it.”
