Controlling the decision making
Remember that most of the decisions made before any meeting. However, controlling the official decision making process is very important to be able to keep the pre-deal done. Set the agenda, distribute the order of topics and time slots best fitting to your goals. Decide who ’s going to attend on top of those there by default. Use your chairmanship directing the discussions. Control short list of options to help the one in favor of you. Define the decision criteria. Don’t let (seemingly) spontaneous or emotional initiatives derail the process. Pat shoulders after the „right” decision has been made.
