Getting no respect as leader
Earn respect by doing not more and not less what a leader needs to do. Define the business impact of each and every positions under your area of supervision. Make sure that position descriptions are not a bunch of obsolescent technical tasks but measurable outcomes. Ensure person-organization fit when hiring new employees, do your job for full onboarding. Let your employees perform exclusively what they are assigned to do by their job descriptions. Do not let them make favors for their coworkers or take any tasks from other managers. Feedback performance frequently and face-to-face (video call, if appropriate), reward achievements and contribution. Be aware of and able to utilize your peoples’ abilities and willingness to stretch in handling emergency situations or business opportunities.
