Being humiliated
Maltreating subordinates is the usual management practice in so many workplaces. Be ready to face the harassment and bullying. Know your worth, never settle for less, don’t think anyone is in title to humiliate you. Build a support pillar in office, run a network to share your troubles and get some power. Forget turning to HR, or referring to guidelines, take the high road instead. Let off steam outside of the workplace. If you are the boss, never humiliate your underlings. Call them separately and tick them off but never in front of others. Help in building the culture of everyday civility.
