Selling your ideas
Be aware of the competing ideas (people). Identify key influencers and stakeholders. Prealign with them before your presentation. Wrap your ideas, tell a good story. Use the company jargon but don’t be too technical. Demonstrate good understanding of your audience’s problems. Use the Problem > Solution > Resources needed formula. Remove most risk from saying “yes”. Make it a team effort, collaborate with your boss and peers. Don’t forget taking credit for your contribution.
