Correcting the boss in public
Don’t correct your boss in public for it is a career suicide. Act like you know less than the boss does, even if it’s untrue. Pretend to respect his knowledge and experience. Pause before responding to him, show consideration of his points. Position yourself on your boss’ side, against the problem (others). Don’t reveal how the boss’ decision imposes on you. Talk in terms of your boss’ interest. Make a strong case for your idea. Thank him for letting you share your views at the end of the conversation.
