Referring an employee
Understand that you bear heavy responsibility for the employee you referred to your company. Make sure she is integrated into a fair (professional) hiring process. Help both parties in formulating realistic expectations. Help your referee even if she is not hired to your working team. Defend her against tricks and traps usually applied against newcomers. Include her to your network in the company. Show her the real power structure behind the formal organization chart. Don’t forget claiming your referral bonus. In case there is no such policy, ask your boss for a favor.
