Being accused
When you are accused the very first thing you should do is not talk. Don’t say anything about it to anyone. Saying defenses, excuses, alibis, and alike could later contradict something you said earlier. Remain calm and carefully work to sort out the situations. Ask questions, the more you know, the better equipped you will be to assess the situation, protect yourself. Find out exactly what you are being accused, what the next steps are. Collect and retain any documentation that might exonerate you. Make note of any further evidence or testimony that may defend you. Hire an attorney to represent you. Remember that this is a breach of trust situation regardless of the theft accusations are founded or unfunded.
