Using language
Be especially considerate in communicating at the workplace. Use expressions only if you are fully aware of their meaning. Say anything only in appropriate context and time. Avoid joking for humor is taken very differently by people. Don’t be fully informal in seemingly casual situations, such as water cooler chats, birthday-of-the-boss celebrations, company party. Mind how easy it is nowadays to record and share anything. Never neglect the importance of the many tools in communication beyond words (body movements, intonation, eye contact). Always decode the true meaning the words of others.
