Working with a disgruntled
Remain calm and listen to the disgruntled colleague. Don’t sympathize with him too much. Challenge him lightly and assume that he could be in full rage mode. Wait until the fires die out before you make your move. Give constructive feedback on his behavior. Remind him that it is his job to cooperate and perform. Explain him that he’s not the only one stretched in this job. Help him in finding out what really irks him. Clarify whether you are in the position to help him in the matter. Acknowledge that disgruntled employees are not bad apples (some are).
