Getting hostile questions
Acknowledge that hostile questions are not questions at all. Those are weapons, aiming to destroy (your reputation, status, credibility or all of the above). Do not engage in discussions. Know the difference between an answer and a response. Response is what you want to communicate instead of what the other person wants to hear. Don’t answer any questions unless you want to. It is always your choice. Use the technique of bridging. Deflect the audience’s attention to your points, instead of dealing with the negative statements and emotion in the question. Feel free to say whatever you wish. Focus on the solution instead of the problem. A perfect response will be remembered much better than an offensive question.
